SF6 electrical equipment is the main substation equipment, and its quality directly affects the safe and economic operation of the power system.Due to uncertainties in design, materials, craftsmanship, and maintenance, there may be some internal defects. However, the current experimental methods are difficult to detect it.
After the equipment is put into operation, the SF6 gas and solid insulation material around the defect are continuously decomposed under the action of heat and electricity, and the insulation performance gradually decreases until an accident occurs, resulting in adverse consequences.
Our main R&D personnel have been engaged in quality supervision and fault diagnosis of electrical equipment for a long time, and have a deep understanding of the principles, structures, and insulation materials of SF6 electrical equipment.
And it is proposed not only to detect the characteristic components of SF6 gas decomposition, but also to detect the cracking products of solid insulation materials that are more harmful to equipment.
After conducting experimental research on the decomposition of various solid insulation materials and statistical analysis of various fault examples, it is believed that the decomposition of solid insulation materials is the biggest threat to equipment safety.
SO2 is a characteristic component of SF6 decomposition, H2S is a characteristic component of thermosetting ring resin decomposition, and CO is a characteristic component of polyester ethylene, insulation paper, and insulation paint decomposition.
Therefore, by detecting the content of SO2, H2S, and CO in SF6 gas, internal equipment faults can be accurately and quickly detected.
